How scoring works
RICE = Reach × Impact × Confidence ÷ Effort. ICE = Impact × Confidence ÷ Effort (we treat “ease” as the inverse of effort).
- Reach: number of users/events affected in a period (e.g., 500 per month).
- Impact: recommended scale 0.25 (minimal), 0.5 (low), 1 (medium), 2 (high), 3 (massive). You can also use 1–5 — be consistent.
- Confidence: 0.1–1.0 (e.g., 0.7 = 70% confidence based on data/experiments).
- Effort: team effort in person‑weeks/months or story points. Higher effort lowers the score.
Tip: Keep units consistent across rows. Sort by score, sanity‑check top items, then export CSV to discuss with your team.
